Using CAD/CAM software to create a miniature F1 car of the future.
F1 in Schools is the world's most exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) competition. It challenges students to design, build, and race miniature Formula 1 cars, mirroring the world of real Formula 1 racing.
Teams of students aged 9 to 19 take on the role of a Formula 1 team, facing real-world engineering challenges:
Using CAD/CAM software to create a miniature F1 car of the future.
Employ Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for aerodynamic testing.
Utilise CNC machines to manufacture the car body from F1 model block.
Conduct wind tunnel testing to optimize performance.
Compete on a 20-meter track, with cars reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h.
